'American Horror Story': James Cromwell Joins Season 2 (REPORT)

James Cromwell Joining 'American Horror Story'?

"American Horror Story" has cast James Cromwell for Season 2. According to Deadline.com, Cromwell is in talks to join the FX series for a 10-epiosde arc.

Deadline.com reports Cromwell will play Dr. Arden, a doctor at the institution for the criminally insane run by Jessica Lange's character. Look for the two to butt heads during Season 2, as will Chloe Sevigny. In April, EW reported Sevigny is in talks to play Shelly, a nymphomaniac who also clashes with Lange's character.

Season 2 will be set in an East Coast mental institution in a different time period than Season 1. Returning Season 1 actors Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe will play characters different from their Season 1 counterparts.

"The Voice" coach Adam Levine will make his acting debut in Season 2. Levine will play part of a couple known as the lovers. "So, I'm going to go and just try to be acting," Levine told Ryan Seacrest. "I think I'm going to be playing myself, so hopefully it will be easy."
