'Desperate Housewives' Finale Spoilers: Why Is Katherine Mayfair Back? (PHOTOS)

'Desperate Housewives' Series Finale SPOILERS!

The "Desperate Housewives" series finale (Sunday, May 13 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC) will feature an arrest, the return of a former Wisteria Lane resident and so much more.

What else? Now that the episode description has just been released, read on for spoilers!

In the two-hour finale, "Give Me the Blame"/"Finishing the Hat," things aren't looking good for Bree (Marcia Cross): It appears she's about to be convicted. This prompts Trip (guest star Scott Bakula) to beg her for the truth about Alejandro's murder. Meanwhile, Gaby (Eva Longoria) races to come up with a way to take the burden off of Bree.

As Susan (Teri Hatcher) gears up to leave Wisteria Lane she tries to keep the sale of her house private so she can break the news to the other "Housewives." A familiar face returns to Wisteria Lane when Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) shows up with an "intriguing" job opportunity for Lynette (Felicity Huffman) -- one that could spell the end of her reconciliation with Tom (Doug Savant). The women come together to take care of an ailing Mrs. McCluskey (guest star Kathryn Joosten) when she reveals she wants to die at home. Plus, Julie (Andrea Bowen) goes into labor -- at an inopportune time -- and Ben (Charles Mesure) is arrested and thrown in jail with his wedding to Renee (Vanessa Williams) right around the corner.

Besides Bakula and Joosten,"Give Me the Blame" all includes the following guest appearances: Darcy Rose Byrnes as Penny Scavo, Kevin Rahm as Lee McDermott, Orson Bean as Roy Bender, Scott Bakula as Trip Weston, Alyson Reed as Judge Conti, Gibby Brand as Fred Newman, Jill Basey as Jean Newman, Aaron Norvell as security guard, Christina Chang as D.A. Stone, Stephen Ramsey as sheriff and Ewan Chung as clerk.

Joosten, Bakula, Bowen and Delany are also listed as guest stars in "Finishing the Hat,” in addition to: Daniella Baltodano as Celia Solis, Mason Vale Cotton as MJ Delfino, Kevin Rahm as Lee McDermott, Tuc Watkins as Bob Hunter, Christine Estabrook as Mrs. Huber, Orson Bean as Roy Bender, Charlie Carver as Porter Scavo, Lindsey Kraft as Jennifer, Patrika Darbo as Jean, Nike Doukas as Natalie, Jarvis George as driver, Todd Weeks as Kent, Wes Brown as doctor, Marc Fajardo as valet and Debbie Pollack as mother. Series creator Marc Cherry wrote the episode.

It was reported that James Denton, whose character Mike Delfino was killed earlier in "Desperate Housewives'" eighth and final season, would return for the series finale as well as Steven Culp (the late Rex Van de Kamp), Roger Bart (the late George Williams), Richard Burgi (the late Karl Mayer) and Lupe Ontiveros (the late Juanita Solis). Those rumors remain unconfirmed.
