Joe Scarborough: Obama's Position On Gay Marriage Is 'A Joke' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Scarborough Mocks Obama For Gay Marriage Stance

Joe Scarborough mocked President Obama's position on gay marriage, after his administration walked back Vice President Biden's comments about the issue on Monday's "Morning Joe."

Biden said that he was "absolutely comfortable" with same-sex marriage in an interview on Sunday's "Meet the Press." The Obama administration — which has said that it backs civil unions but not gay marriage — rushed to clarify the remarks.

On Monday, Scarborough ripped Obama for his position. "Well, [Obama's] not for gay marriage but he's kinda, gonna be for gay marriage one of these days, kinda, maybe, perhaps," the MSNBC host said sarcastically.

Later in the show, he said that the president was "not as progressive" as Dick Cheney, who backs same-sex marriage. Scarborough recommended that Obama's gay donors donate to the former vice-president instead. “When is the president going to be as courageous as Dick Cheney?” he asked. The remark comes at the 3:40 mark in the clip above.

He called Obama out for claiming to still be "evolving" on the issue, despite previously having supported gay marriage. "It's a joke!" he exclaimed. Watch the rest of the discussion in the video below.
