Gwen Stefani's Style When She Was Just A Girl (PHOTOS)

Gwen Stefani When She Was Just A Girl

When we saw this picture of Gwen Stefani with her band No Doubt at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, we couldn't help but miss the younger, more subversive Gwen. The angst-ridden songs featured on the ska group's third album "Tragic Kingdom" were always coupled with the lead singer's bold, adventurous outfits. Much like her lyrics, Stefani's style seemed to both embrace and playfully mock her own sense of femininity (think: wild prints, cropped men's undershirts and bindis). Do you think she pulled off the look?
