Rick Santorum Endorses Mitt Romney, Despite History Of Panning Him (VIDEO)

WATCH: Santorum's History Of Slamming Romney

Despite his email endorsement of Mitt Romney late Monday night, Rick Santorum has had a history of tearing the former Massachusetts governor apart.

Health care was Santorum's favorite cudgel for knocking Romney's record during the GOP primary. He famously called Romney "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama" at an event in Racine, Wisconsin in March.

Santorum also hit Romney on health care for mandating that Catholic hospitals in Massachusetts provide the morning-after pill. (Fact check: Romney wanted to allow insurance plans that covered only basic health care, but his attempts to restrict coverage were rejected by the legislature. Still, Romney never brought up the contraception mandate, said a member of the board of the Massachusetts insurance exchange, according to The Boston Globe.)

Santorum found many other angles from which to criticize Romney during his ill-fated primary campaign. Watch the video above to see a mashup of Santorum slamming Romney, and send a tweet to the author @hoont if we missed anything.
