Rejoice! A new collaboration is among us!
Except... well, Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein for Macy's is hard to get excited over. New pics of the capsule collection, which hits stores on May 15, show very Costa-y styles: clean lines, muted hues, straight hemlines and unfussy shapes. Classic? Sure. Boring? Well...
Maybe there's something we're missing. Maybe it's so chic we don't get it. But we look to limited edition designer collaborations for a dose of excitement, for something idiosyncratic that will boost our wardrobe and get us excited to shop. (See: Jason Wu for Target, Versace for H&M and Marni for H&M.)
Costa's clothes, while lovely and refined, will easily blend in with the other basic sportswear at Macy's. In fact, they look like some things we already own. The collection is either completely brilliant or the equivalent of a sartorial yawn. We can't decide.
Below, see photos from the collection, whose prices range from $135 - $180. Will you be buying on May 15?
