"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara is reportedly single again after calling it quits with boyfriend Nick Loeb, reports the New York Post.
Sources tell the paper the 39-year-old actress was the one who decided to end their two-year relationship following a series of arguments over the weekend.
The Colombian actress attended Monday night's Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala alone, and sources told the Post she confided in a few friends that she and Loeb had split.
"They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now," the insider explained.
If the couple did break up, Vergara certainly didn't let it stop her from shining at the Met Gala in a stunning Marchesa dress, and partying late into the night at the Top of the Standard with friends.
The Daily Mail reports the couple were last photographed together at the 2012 White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C., where they appeared to be getting along. But other sources told the Post that there had been trouble in paradise for quite some time.
Another source tells the New York Post that their relationship faltered due to the pressure and demands of Vergara's growing fame, with her hit TV show, fashion line for Kmart and endorsements for Pepsi and CoverGirl makeup.
Vergara met Loeb -- who considered running for the Florida state Senate last year, at a Golden Globes party in 2010. Loeb is the son of John Loeb Jr., who served President Reagan as ambassador to Denmark. The couple were so serious that Loeb reportedly even moved to L.A. to be closer to Vergara.
Before dating Loeb, Vergara dated British singer Craig David in 2003, Canadian actor Donal Logue in 2007, and was rumored to be linked to Tom Cruise and Tyrese Gibson.
