Congressional Conservatives Demand More Vision From John Boehner

The cautious approach that top Republicans have taken on whether to vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress has sparked a new round of hand-wringing over the party’s direction on Capitol Hill.

Specifically, conservatives want bolder, more aggressive leadership from House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and the rest of GOP high command — on Holder and the broader Republican agenda heading into November.

it is my hope that this radical republicans would push their leadership to continue to vote on bills that destroy this country. for republicans to continue to fight to take this country back to the dark age. maybe just maybe those low information voters would start to see the extend the republicans are destroying this country. this radical republicans fail to understand that their congress has being the worst congress with the lowest rating, and the people can't wait to throw them out. so republicans continue to vote on your war on everything excerpt defense and the rich. and the american people would wage war on you and throw you out.

I am so tired of hearing the GOPTea's say the Social Security and Medicare are 'entitlement programs'. That is absolute BS. I've been paying into the programs for 40 years so when it's time for me to hit that bank account I'll be damned if I'm going to listen to some GOP Pol tell me it's an entitlement program as if I'm going to get something for nothing.

You know what I think is the worst entitlement program we have in the USA - it's the benefits every US Politician get for a job that many times is over in 2 years. If we're going to strip benefits let's start with the salary for life and free medical for life for do nothings in Congress.

The Bush WH laughed off and ignored Congressional subpoenas as standard practice. You reap what you sow.

Further, I could care less if Boehner has vision. I would settle for passing legislation that has a chance of getting through the Senate, which they have proven utterly incapable of. You know, that whole "governing" thingy everyone talks about.

Boner is stuck between a rock and a hard place here. He knows that AG Holder has committed no crime worth being suspended for. Issa is just trying to make trouble and the only trouble he is making is for the repub leadership.

If, after 6 hearings, thousands of documents and hours of testimony by Holder and his staff, Issa still does not have a case, he never will. Boner knows this. He would rather this witch hunt come to an end than be drawn out all summer long with no definitive results. It will do no good for repubs and simply give ammunition to the democrats to point out how ineffective repubs are and turn off the independent voter.

let not forget that because of our president, a lot of bush actions haven't come into light. if republicans start pushing this hard, it would only bring out the fact that it started with bush. and i am pretty sure that bush administration wasn't that clean.

I saw it all coming when he pulled out that huge gavel of his at the very beginning - any bully that has to carry a big stick, isn't worth a toothpick. And know what Romney has up his sleeve?
