Cantor tried to play both sides. He wants to appear to be supportive of Boehner while undermining him. He wants to look as thoug wants to work on a bipartisam basis but backs away from it, and he wants to appear to frendly to the Tea Party caucus, but can't be trusted.

Because he tried to play in the kiddie yard with the TP freshmen, now suddenly he wants to look like one of the grownups he has aroused suspicion. He should not be surprised if he is targeted for removal for not appearing conservative enough.

Remember Eric, when you lay down with dogs you get fleas.

I must admit that some 3-4 years ago, I was less then thrilled as I watched the tea baggers
disrupt town hall meetings, usually hosted by Democrats. It was a carefully orchestrated
attack that targeted Democrats. The results were mixed but NOW watching the leader
ship having to deal with the upstart freshman has once again returned a smile to my face.
Removing Democrats proved to be a much hard task then removing weak republicans.
Eric Cantor has been drooling over getting John Boehners speakership, BUT I wonder who
is drooling over Eric's position as Majority leader?.

There will be many changes made in the gop when they lose the WH again and perhaps the House. They will really be scrambling as their ship sinks further into the muck. The panic is already mounting with those who see what is happening. The rest are sitting back enjoying their de lu sions.

The CONS leadership has created an uncontrollable monster and the results are being displayed for all to see. They have ceded their ability to govern by rejecting their responsiblity to their constiuents by following the dictates of ALEC, the Koch brothers, Heritage Foundation, the Tea party, the few billionaires supporting them....etc. Their problem is, they can't put this monster back in the bottle!!!!

VonMarco: A very good post. You summed up the position the Republican
Party has placed themselves in. As a result . . . the Party is imploding!!

Let's not forget that Cantor stormed out of the last debt ceiling negotiations.  With that one and only action, his short-buy stock netted him an additional 7%!!

Gee, and here I thought he was in the business of being a CONGRESSMAN, writing legislation which becomes law--after all, it IS part of his "JOB", isn't it??  ;o)

Cantor recently has played a leading role in moving legislation on jobs, banning congressional insider trading, and reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank.

He's trying to keep his job by fooling the American People...

Has anyone notice how of late how Εric Cantοr has been MIA and not really being so out and out vocal on issues? I wonder what is going on? I guess the RNC figured he fired up the Democrats too much and makes them remember how silly the Republican party can be. LOL

I will tell you what has happened.......since they spend little time on the country's business, they have been hearing from the public's outrage over their lunacy. They are on the wrong side of everything positive and beneficial for the populace. Fanned and faved...

He must be in a very tight election race, because it is very odd that he has not been front and center in the conservative platform. Amazing, hope he is gone in November.

it was great! I think it should be shown to every high school student in America. It didn't belittle people but put in very basic terms how the rich few have taken advantage of not so informed folks and how the rich have taken over their thought process by pandering to their fears. Love how Peter restored order with government!

A weasel like Cantor who keeps getting elected shows a lack of intelligence and/or corruption among Virginia voters.

Not quite. It's been more a case of having no viable alternative candidate to vote for. The Dems need to take some of the blame for not investing any time or $$$ in challenging him in what is traditionally a "safe" seat.

This November, however, the worm will turn--we have a great candidate, Wayne Powell, a veteran, small-business owner, and well-known attorney running against Cantor. Yippee!
