PHOTOS: Wendy Williams Gets Sultry For The American Ballet Theatre Gala

Gone are the days when an evening at the ballet meant having to don a gorgeous floor-sweeping gown or dapper penguin-tailed tux. We miss all that pomp and circumstance, which is exactly why we were thrilled with the ultra chic attendees at the American Ballet Theatre's 72nd annual gala on Monday night. Among a host of celebs, sponsors and supporters, Wendy Williams, June Ambrose and jewelry designer Monique Pean were on hand and shining in their finest threads.

Ambrose turned heads in a Carlos Miele creation made of jet black tiers of tulle and taffeta, while Wendy channeled the sultry cartoon character Jessica Rabbit in a curve-hugging crimson gown. And a major metallic moment came courtesy of Pean's gilded frock.

The design duo behind Cushnie et Ochs, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, wowed in neutrals -- as did supermodel Alek Wek in a white long-sleeved dress.

Fashion designer Rachel Roy decided to go a bit more casual in the dress department but glammed it up with the most dazzling accessory of the night --her 4-year-old daughter Tallulah.

Attendes previewed ABT's spring repertoires and did a bit of dancing themselves. There was also plenty of check signing -- the event raised $1.8 million to support ABT’s education, community outreach programs and overall operations.

Check out those lovely ladies and more of our favorite red carpet moments from the gala in the slideshow below. Who do you think is best dressed?
