Inside Country Living's June 2012 Issue: A Couple Lives A Dream Life In A Colorful Beach House (PHOTOS)

Why This Home Isn't Your Average Beach House

We're excited to present you with an exclusive sneak peek inside the Country Living June 2012 issue. What can you expect beyond the cover? Plenty of inspiring (and achievable) ways to incorporate more color into your home. Our favorite feature was a house tour that did just that. Located in Massachusetts, this beach home combines historic details with bright, modern-day style.

Owned by Bill and Bonnie Daggett, this 100-year-old vacation house sits right on the beach. With an open floor plan and large windows, the view is described in the article as "rivaling those of any ship."

And even more impressive are the pops of colors, a seasonal palette inspired by the oceanfront locale. We love the colorful Adirondack chairs and how the sea-colored braided rug complements the mismatched blue and yellow dining table chairs. And in a beach house that features the expected breezy decor, we also find ourselves surprised by the bold melon-colored coffee table and fabulous studded armchairs. In short, this isn't your average beachside abode.

Flip through the slideshow below to take a peek inside the Daggett's beach house retreat. And, don't forget to pick up a copy of the June issue, which hits newsstands May 22.
