Im a big sushi fan,so I know exactly where my fish comes from. So,it pays to buy quality fish. But then you still have to worry about mercury in wild fish. So,buyers must be aware of low budget sushi products which may be an indication of inferior quality. If we bought only american fish products,it would severely limit the sushi menu.An increase in consumer awareness may help some.Because the U.S.cannot guarentee 100% protection on any product foreign or domestic.

Processing raw fish in *India* and shipping it across the globe (even by air) to the U.S. sounds like a recipe for salmonella. There is no way you could call that fresh. ICK! Here on the west coast we assume that we are getting freshly caught fish, so I must admit that I'm a little weirded out that the product originates in India.

we dont' need no stinkin' fda inspectors or regulations just let the marketplace handle it all - the fewer people we have from food poisoning the fewer people we have to insure - right GOP?
wrong.
Please please refund the FDA so they can inspect our food. Please support American made goods - including food.
