Save the Hype. Give me the facts.

These are pretty funny but maybe it is better to just read them rather than send them. Never know what kind of psycho reaction you might end up with. Also it is a little mean.

I think that these e-card's purpose is to lighten up the burden one has when undergoing divorce. It might really help to make us feel more at ease with the divorce and not think of it as a problem.

Meh, newly divorced after several years of living separately. This was great, it made me realize that there has been no rancor in my divorce, how cool is that? Well, the grown kids seem to be a bit upset, why after the years of separation, I'll never know. Surely that was a hint?

Why is ex-bashing/ex-hating being promoted? It isn't funny, it's what prevents people from moving on. People who stay angry and resentful become very negative and are unpleasant to be around.

I hear you but I would also say that if your one of those angry people based on past relationships or current one's that are not so great then this kind of stuff isn't for you. But there are others that are totally okay with their past and present situations and can totally appreciate the comical aspect of these situations. There are always two sides to a coin but humans are remarkable as there are so many different sides based on where they come from and the things they experience.

I might convince my husband to send some of these to his ex.

That's not a very civilized or mature thing to do...

Just saying.

Her mother harassing me online since they separated isn't very civilized or mature, either.

"HOW CAN I MISS YOU IF YOU WON'T GO AWAY"

My wife got a divorce card from her best friend 25 years ago right before we started dating. It said: "Sorry I'm so late. Congratulations on your divorce. I would have given you this card sooner but you were still married!" We have been happily married 24 years (with 5 kids girls) last month!

Doesn't seem like any of these are for men. Typical!

Ha ha, I can relate to the one about stalking online to remember why you don't want someone anymore!

The divorce was the best present my ex ever got me.

I think those ecards promote anger and negativity. An ecard is suppose to smooth the process of divorce instead of making it more difficult. Are we promoting bullying as a tool for couples to cope with differences? It is not enough with the shooting at schools and homes?
08:54 PM on 07/24/2012
Presuming a couple has already split up, I don't think they're trying to "cope with differences." I don't think these cards intend to help people mend their relationships. I think the only purpose is to give someone a laugh when they're going through a difficult process. I cannot for the LIFE of me, understand how you're relating this to shootings.
