Hayden Panettiere sure knows how to turn heads.
The pint-size stunner stepped out at the Entertainment Weekly & ABC-TV Up Front VIP party in New York City, rocking a tight red-and-black minidress with a plunging neckline. But soon Panettiere will have to trade her city-chic look for something a little more country.
The "Heroes" actress will be joining former "Friday Night Lights" actress Connie Britton in the new music-heavy ABC drama "Nashville."
"I've always loved country music, but when you're from New York, people are like, 'Country music? Where's the connection there?'" Panettiere tells E! Online of her new role.
The blond beauty will show off her vocals in the forthcoming series, but this won't be the first time we get a taste of her talent. In 1999, Panettiere was nominated for a Grammy for her song in "A Bug's Life," "Read-Along."
