Susan Lucci Discusses 'Army Wives' Role, Still Misses Erica Kane (VIDEO)

Susan Lucci On 'Army Wives' Role, Missing Erica Kane

Former "All My Children" star Susan Lucci stopped by "Good Morning America" (weekdays, 7 a.m. ET on ABC) to talk about her new role as Audrey Whitacker on Lifetime's "Army Wives."

Lucci discussed her character, who "grew up in Washington, and grew up as a daughter of a two-star general. She's politically connected and she's going to tell you how to live your life," Lucci said.

The role has reunited Lucci with her former "AMC" co-star Kim Delaney, although ironically, they never actually shot any scenes together on the soap. "Kim and I have never worked together. Even though she was on 'All My Children,' we never had any scenes," Lucci explained.

Despite the new project, Lucci couldn't help but reminisce about her soap opera days. “I will always miss Erica Kane. I loved playing Erica. I just adored her. I adored all my 'All My Children' family, so I miss all of it.”

"Army Wives" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
