Franck Ribery has insisted that he only has victory on his mind ahead of Bayern Munich's Champions League final against Chelsea.

The France international has admitted that he did not expect Bayern to make it to the final of the competition, but is determined to seize the opportunity now that it is in the decider.

"I'm not even contemplating defeat to Chelsea. I'm already 29, so who knows whether I'll appear in another final," the winger stated to the official Bayern website. "I didn't think I'd get this second chance so soon. I wanted us to get as far as possible this season, but I never thought we'd really battle through to the final.

"The final in Munich, it's unbelievable, but I think we deserve to be there. I hope we all join forces, turn in a great performance against Chelsea, and win the cup. That would be terrific."

Ribery missed the 2010 Champions League final against Inter due to suspension, and he is desperate to make amends and help his club to glory.

"I can make up for the missed final because I have a second chance. The final in Munich means I can finally banish the memory of Madrid."

Saturday's match at the Allianz Arena kicks off at 2:45 p.m. ET.
