John Boehner Fast And Furious
House Speaker John Boehner says "all options are on the table" in the ongoing congressional investigation into the "Fast and Furious" operation.

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner says "all options are on the table" in the ongoing congressional investigation into the "Fast and Furious" operation and whether the House would move to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt should he refuse to fully comply.

Boehner says Congress wants "to hold everyone at the Department of Justice and the administration accountable for what happened or what didn't happen in `Fast and Furious,' adding that all options are on the table." Boehner made the comments Friday in an interview for ABC's "This Week" to air this Sunday.

The House GOP leadership sent a letter to Holder Friday that cited a "lack of full cooperation from the Department of Justice."

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi dismissed any suggestion Holder might be in contempt.

"The Justice Department sent nearly 500 pages of documents to Republican lawmakers Thursday that suggest the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives may have used questionable tactics and lost track of American-made weapons in a gun trafficking investigation on the Mexican border as early as 2006. A senior Obama Administration Justice Department official who briefed reporters on the documents  Read More...

It appears Holder might be the first AG to spend time behind bars. He certainly has earned it.

Finally we will get a contempt of Congress vote. We need to prosecute Holder to the fullest extent.

Will this be the same type of aggressive accountability we saw from September 2001 to February of 2009?

All options are on the table when it comes to this stupidity, but actually working for the good of our countryis off the table? Come on at least try to not look like a Cat with feathers in his mouth.

He expects "cooperation" and "forthcoming" from Obungle's DoJ? LMAO BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! Get real. Already under oath, it's been admitted that this whole operation was to garner sympathy for tougher gun control laws. ATF officials TOLD the DoJ that this WOULD result in deaths...but they figured that stupid legislation was more important than human lives...and our border patrol agents and Mexican civilians paid the price with their lives. Typical Democratic Party politics at its finest. Now Holder and most of his staff are all "pleading the 5th" and not testifying and not providing documents to Congress. Holder needs to be in a jail cell somewhere.

What part of COEQUAL branches of government are you missing? The DOJ IG is investigating and it is not in Congress' purview. The problem was known as early as 2006, but no action was taken until the Obama Administration. President Obama was inaugurated January 2009, so he wasn't in charge when the mess was first noticed.

John Boehner the 8 week wonder in the Navy. His bad back wouldn't allow him to serve. It did allow him to play golf. A leader? No a loser.

I recall a promise of "tansparency" from Obama. Holder won't turn over documents related to Fast and Furious and others have reportedly taken the 5th Amendment rather than tell what they know.

The 5th amendment? What are delusional? Nobody from DOJ has ever taken the 5th on this matter. Man at least have plusable deniability. Fox and Fools got another one.

You're wrong. Patrick Cunningham, Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix, AZ, pled the 5th back in January.

there is a policy of tyransparency. The gov't can hack into your personal life without telling you.Your "privacy" is an open book for them. Transparency from the gov't you are not going to get. Remember Pelosi's famous quote about obamacare?"we are going to have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it".

Republican lawmakers for eight months have been leading the probe into “Fast and Furious,” the controversial ATF gun operation, and trying to determine who in President Obama’s Justice Department knew what, and when they knew it.

But it turns out there was another gun operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives years before, using the same tactics of allowing guns to flow illegally onto U.S. streets and into Mexico. This operation was conducted under the Bush administration’s Justice Department.

Dubbed “Operation Wide Receiver,” the case was run out of Tucson between 2006 and 2007 and involved hundreds of guns that were purchased by small-time buyers who transferred them to middle men who then passed them up the chain and into Mexico.

ATF’s new acting director, B. Todd Jones, when asked by The Washington Post, said that Operation Wide Receiver was launched out of ATF’s Phoenix division — the same field office that oversaw Fast and Furious. ATF has said that Fast and Furious was an attempt to track more than 2,000 firearms and link them to Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel.

Under Bush operations were held in cooperation with the Mexican government and NOT one gun was lost- Holder is the highest justice official in the country who has lied under oath many
times and been in contempt of court for stonewalling and refusing to cooperate
with the senate committee- Stimulus money was used to give guns to the Zeta
Mexican Drug cartel- YET NO ONE will go to jail for these crimes because the
news-media refuse to report anything about Obama’s entire past criminal history
and covers up his crimes- such as his FORGED birth certificate & multiple
SSN’s used in real estate scams- The American NEWS-MEDIA BLACKOUT on Obama’s past criminal history is UNFORGIVABLE-

It's a shame that a US Border patrol agent was killed by one of these guns. I guess old Eric was too busy ignoring cities like LA, San Fran and NYC who ignore Federal Immigration and
Social benefits laws to aide and abet illegals so that he could sue STATES who were
as Justice Roberts noted merely ACTUALLY enforcing the Federal Law that DOJ/ICE refuses too.

What should really be investigated is the republicans and the way they obstruct and block legislation. And how they cater to the rich and powerful who contribute to their campaigns.

That would be like a skunk, turning to a traveling companion skunk and saying his odor is offensive to him, these investigations partisan ,political driven stage shows ,brewed and cook in the kitchens of faux news, then serve on a plate to partisan wacks like those who sadly serve as chairman's in the odious led GOP house. Now if Nancy Polosi ,would have began a real investigation when the Democrats gain control of the white house and congress in 2008,on the lying and consternation that got us into Iraq ,but instead declaring she would not have hearings, would not ask the justice dept. to look at possible criminal charges against Bush and Cheney ,to me it just shows you the mindset of the two parties in the house, the skunk GOP house leaders, and the sheepish Democrats leaders.

Nancy P is in denial that there is anything there? What happened to that "draining the swamp" thing? If she really thought there was nothing there, she would say...put it out there and embarrass them for doubting you instead of running defense..

John Boehner: In Operation 'Fast And Furious' Investigation, 'All Options Are On The Table' - interesting, the republicans can put all options on the table for political issues... but not for dealing with the economy or other major issues facing the nation.

Well we know that anything that might get them more votes and stuff that embarrasses the President is really what is on the table. They must sit up all night and try to pick those items that they think will cause the most chaos.
