Italy Dad Throws Children Off Balcony, Jumps To His Death

ROME — Police in northern Italy say a father has thrown his two young children to their deaths from a sixth floor apartment balcony before jumping to his death.

Brescia police spokeswoman Nicoletta Di Maio says the mother, who was home at the time, is currently in the hospital under sedation.

Italian news agency ANSA said the 41-year-old man had lost his job a year ago, but it wasn't clear if economic difficulties were to blame. Italy, which is back in recession, has seen a rash of suicides in recent weeks.

Di Maio said the man first threw his children, aged four and 14 months, and then threw himself off the balcony. He died immediately; the children were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Oh God, Oh GOD! I know things are bad right now, but why those babies! How could he DO THAT?! And to leave the mother behind, to lose both her babies and her husband all at once.....That is the epitome of cruel.

For the record, the downturn/recession in America started under Bush, and this country has been climbing steadily out of his mess for 4 years. To blame Obama (or anybody in America for that matter) for not preventing a suicide in Italy is just stupid.

What happened was not about God nor Satan. The man lost his job,couldn't provide for his family anymore,he lost his job, pride and the ability to live within a reasonable standard of living. He went INSANE at the moment he did what he did. Stop putting religion in scenarios like this

Satan is busy. This world is at his mercy. We are turning away form God in all societies and what is bad, no one seems to recognize it. We are blaming the economy,bad marriages, anxiety, and other things, and never stopping to see all of these things are born of sin. Satan is deceptive in his diguise of these issues. Unless we understand the wiles of satan we are going to continue in the same direction.

You don't have to believe in God, but some day you are going to answer to him. Remember the people of Noah days not heeding his word of whart God was about to do. They laughed at him and scorned him. It was like he was talking about a fairy tale. It happened.
