'Rules Of Engagement' Renewed: CBS Orders Season 7

CBS Renews 'Rules of Engagement'

"Rules of Engagement" is sticking around CBS. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network ordered a 13-episode Season 7 of the David Spade comedy.

"Rules of Engagement" Season 7 is set to debut in midseason. The comedy, which also stars Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price and Oliver Hudson, has bounced around CBS's schedule, often occupying the timeslot of an axed series.

Last season aired Thursdays at 8:30 p.m., following "The Big Bang Theory." In the upcoming season, CBS put "Two and a Half Men" on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. timeslot. Should the network's only new comedy premiering this fall, "Partners," ("Friend Me" will debut midseason) fail, CBS could slot "Rules" in Mondays at 8:30 p.m., after "How I Met Your Mother."

Last season, "Rules" debuted to about 11.5 million viewers in October, but ended Season 6 with 7.2. However, CBS had shelved the show for three months between December 2011 and March 2012.

No premiere date for "Rules of Engagement" has been set.
