What is it about "Star Wars" characters dancing to contemporary pop songs that amuses us so? And what is it about LMFAO that encourages the internet to recontextualize and/or remix their songs?
We don't know the answer to these mysteries -- probably something about midi-chlorians -- but we do have a new culprit. Apparently Walt Disney World has a stage show called "Dance-Off with the 'Star Wars, Stars 2012," and Chewbacca, Princess Leia, a bunch of Bith dancers perform a sexy dance to LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem." It's a canonical piece of the "Star Wars" story (we think it's Episode XIII: Revenge of the Wiggle). Okay, maybe not -- in fact, it mixes characters from both trilogies, so someone didn't do their homework.
