As you probably know by now, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg married his college sweetheart, Priscilla Chan, this weekend; just one day after becoming a billionaire 19 times over. The surprise backyard ceremony also happened to take place just days after she graduated from medical school, providing the perfect opportunity for the couple to officially launch the next chapter of their lives together. It was all very cute and romantic until everyone — including The New York Times — noticed that by waiting until the day after cashing in his fortune, Zuckerberg conveniently protected his billions from California's communal property law.

She is a lucky girl, she is married to a famous and rich guy and she is even luckier than him, she can be in a Chinese restaurant, nail saloon, dry cleaners and nobody will notice, she can be in a hospital nobody will notice , hospitals had asian and indian working there everywhere. Mark has to pay bodyguards because his hair and eyes are weird,

I could understand him protecting his wealth, if he had worked hard over many years to earn it. However, he didn't. He stole somebody else's idea and made a fortune off it in a short time. She has been with him since this whole Facebook thing began. She deserves more than some slick ploy from a guy who lucked up on a sure thing. I would have left him years ago. She's going to be a doctor. She doesn't need his "billions".

How did he not earn it? How do you know he did not dedicate a large portion of his early years to software development? You take the position that anyone can develop Facebook and the inter-connectivity that it provides. If that is the case, Blogger, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Diggs, Delicious, and several other sites wouldn't be following the same model.

Do you really think Zuckerberg hasn't taken steps to protect himself from such a thing. As for his wealth only existing on paper, he has already sold 30.2 Million shares of Facebook stock. He got $1.2 Billion out of it. His wealth clearly exists.

I commented on this the day of the wedding when the story first hit HuffPo. Any lawyer with experience in family law or trusts and estates would have noticed it. It's good money sense, but it's strikingly unromantic.

Zuckerberg is a very calculative individual and noone knows better how to protect wealth than him. Of course he is entitled to do whatever he see's fit to do, who wouldn't protect themselves.

That being said, I predict they will announce a pregnancy very shortly....for nothing protects wealth better than an heir and a trust fund. Zuckerberg knows that he must do this quickly, before FB loses it value and goes into the negative. After he cashs in on his stocks and secures the billions, why would he care what happens to share price.......think about it.
