'Duets': Robin Thicke On What Makes The Show Unique (VIDEO)

Robin Thicke On What Makes 'Duets' Unique

Duets”, ABC's new reality competition singing show, isn't exactly exploring uncharted territory (see: NBC's “The Voice" and Fox's "American Idol"). While part of the show's formula is familiar, Robin Thicke told "Good Morning America" (weekdays, 7 a.m. ET on ABC) what makes "Duets" unique.

“What’s fun about it is it’s very unpredictable because you get to see a free concert almost every show from John Legend, Jennifer, Kelly Clarkson and myself,” Thicke said.

On “Duets”, the show’s judges, Clarkson, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Legend, and Thicke will each have a team of contestants who they perform with on stage. Thicke has some experience with reality singing competitions after he made an appearance on "The Voice" this season as a mentor.

“Duets" premieres Thurs., May 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
