Christian Organization's Founder Gets Emotional Describing 'Ex-Gay Conversion' Clip

A Christian group founder's bizarrely emotional speech, delivered while promoting an "instructional" video "built to convert a homosexual," is going viral in the blogosphere.

Brought to our attention first by Right Wing Watch, the clip features Jesse Connors, founder and president of the web-based evangelical group TrueLife.org, described as "a unique non-profit Christian organization dedicated to showing the world that the Bible is true and reliable" on its website.

Connors was on hand at the FRC's annual "Watchmen on the Wall" briefing in Washington, D.C., where he promoted his "ex-gay" conversion video. Connors aired a few seconds of the video, which features a man named Jonathan who apparently died of AIDS in February, before stopping the clip.

In between sobs, Connors proclaims, "I found him -- he's dead! But he's in heaven! And other homosexuals need to go to heaven too!"

Though Connors' speech gets more and more difficult to discern, he eventually concludes, "God is working! It's not me!"
