Plane's Door Falls Off, Lands On Hallandale Golf Course (VIDEO)

You Won't Believe What Landed On This Golf Course

What, no "fore?"

The main cabin door of an airborne jet fell off and plunged to a South Florida golf course after the plane departed Opa-Locka Executive Airport Wednesday.

The Canadair CL60 took off with several passengers around 4 p.m. bound for Pompano Beach, reports Local10, but was shortly diverted to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport where it landed safely.

The large door reportedly fell right between two condominium towers before hitting the ground on the golf course at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hallandale Beach, where it skidded for about 15 feet.

According to WSVN, the incident occurred on one of just 2 days per year the golf course is closed for maintenance.

No injuries were reported on the jet or on the ground. WSVN reports the FAA has opened an investigation into the incident.
