Carine Roitfeld's amfAR Fashion Show Styles Supermodels In All Black (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Carine Roitfeld's amfAR Fashion Show Goes Dark

As promised, Carine Roitfeld's fashion show at Thursday night's amfAR gala in Cannes brought a host of all-black gowns to darken up the the south of France.

The nineteenth annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held during the French film festival included a full-scale fashion show (Cannes' first ever!) on Thursday hosted by ex-French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld.

The whole thing was, of course, impeccably chic. And who gets to strut down the catwalk at such an A-list event? Only 25 of the world's hottest models. Kate Upton strolled the runway in a tight black dress, and Lindsay Wixson had to sport flesh-colored pasties under her sheer black dress. Also strutting their stuff were Karolina Kurkova, new Victoria's Secret Angel Toni Garrn and Lily Donaldson giving Anja Rubik a run for her money in a cutout-laden gown.

The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala raised money for AIDS research by means of a charity auction, which billed massages from Heidi Klum (let's be honest, who WOULDN'T want that?), literal bites from "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev and music performances from Fun and Jessie J. The dresses from Roitfeld's show, which included black creations from Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Versace, were auctioned off for charity as a lot after the show.
