Just one day after getting into an alleged physical altercation with a paparazzo, Justin Bieber has released his new single, "Die In Your Arms".
Unfortunately, it isn't a reworked version of Cutting Crew's 1986 hit "(I Just) Died In Your Arms" -- because we really need that to happen -- but the new track does have a decidedly retro feel.
Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, described the song on Twitter as having an "Old School Jackson 5 vibe". Musically, "Die In Your Arms" is a classic pop song, with a catchy chorus and a steady, uptempo beat.
"Die In Your Arms" is the eighth track on Believe, Bieber's third studio release, and -- according to the track list released last week -- Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ludacris are all featured on the new album.
Bieber's first single off Believe, "Boyfriend", debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a musical departure for the 18-year-old, as the tracked, partially penned by Mike Posner, was heavily influenced by R&B and hip-hop.
Believe drops on June 19.
