'Toddlers & Tiaras' High Heels On Emma Prove Controversial (VIDEOS, POLL)

WATCH: 3-Year-Old Wears 'Sexy' High Heels On 'Toddlers & Tiaras'

We've seen some wild sights since "Toddlers & Tiaras" debuted in 2009, from the adorable to the ridiculous to the downright shocking. The pageant show succeeded in scandalizing audiences yet again in last night's episode, which featured pageant hopeful Emma, just three years old, strapping on her first pair of heels to achieve a "sexy" look.

The Daily Mail snagged one clip, which shows Emma teetering in her silver strappy heels as her mom encourages her, "Strut, girl. Strut!"

The footwear is for Emma's Marilyn Monroe costume, which, as her mother explains, will "work great with Emma and her personality" because Monroe was a sex symbol.

Cue the outrage. We've seen the sexed-up-toddler thing before, most notably when one "Toddler & Tiaras" mom outfitted her 3-year-old girl as Julia Roberts in the opening scene of "Pretty Woman."

At least Monroe's character in "The Seven Year Itch," Emma's chosen film inspiration, wasn't a prostitute. But the heels are the kicker, so to speak: on a grown woman, strappy heels elongate the leg, create a sexy line and add height to her figure. Is this something a three-year-old really needs?

Many viewers thought not, expressing concerns that echoed previous critiques over another famous toddler in heels: Suri Cruise.

Watch the two clips (above and below) and tell us what you think.
