Joe Scarborough: Mitt Romney's Heckler Admission Was 'Mystifying' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Scarborough Mocks Huge Romney Misstep

Joe Scarborough was so baffled by Mitt Romney's recent admission that he had sent hecklers to interrupt an Obama campaign event that he just laughed at the candidate on Friday's "Morning Joe."

Romney supporters caused a huge scene at David Axelrod's press conference in Massachusetts on Thursday. Romney later defended the hecklers, saying that he felt entitled to send them into Obama events because he is heckled by Obama supporters, too.

On Friday, "Morning Joe" panel were dismayed by Romney's move (their remarks start at 9:00 in the clip above). Mika Brzezinski called it "rude and childish," while Scarborough was more appalled by the fact that Romney copped to it. He said that he was "stunned" by the admission, which he called "mystifying."

"If I sent people to somebody else's rally, I wouldn't be talking about it on TV," Scarborough said, cracking up. "You want plausible deniability! Come on man!"

Later, Brzezinski seemed incredulous that politicians would stoop so low as to send hecklers to an opponent's event.

"Oh, come on, Mika," Scarborough implored. "Democrats do that all the time."

"They're not stupid enough to talk about it obviously," she answered.
