Rajon Rondo Rips Heat For 'Crying To The Referees' During Game 4 Halftime Interview (VIDEO)

The Miami Heat had no answer for Rajon Rondo during the first half (or, really, in overtime) of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals as he went off for eight points, 10 assists and 4 rebounds before the intermission.

But he had plenty to say about them.

As Rondo headed into the locker room for halftime, Doris Burke of ESPN asked how he had been able to shred the Heat's defense. According to the Celtics' point guard, the secret to his success was "them complaining and crying to the referees in transition."

Miami and Boston each had 13 fouls called against them during the first half of Game 4. But apparently only the Heat were "crying" after each whistle against them.

After scoring the final three points of Boston's 93-91 overtime win, Rondo stood by his comments.

"What I said was true. I don't take back what I said. That's what it is," Rondo told Burke after the game during a follow-up interview.

The officials once again were a conspicuous presence late in the game as both Paul Pierce and LeBron James fouled out. It was the third time in Boston's last five games that Pierce has fouled out while it was LeBron's first time earning six fouls as a member of the Heat.

Rondo first initiated the smack talk after Boston's Game 1 blowout loss when he said the Heat "have to hit the deck too" while talking about adjustments that need to be made for Game 2.
