Allen West Facebook Post Saying Recall 'Not So Much' About Scott Walker No Longer Available

Allen West's Wisconsin Recall Post Mysteriously Absent

A Facebook post by Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) saying the Wisconsin recall election is "not so much about Governor Scott Walker" is no longer available on the congressman's page and the link is dead.

The original post, flagged by The Huffington Post, said the recall was more about liberals than Scott Walker. "The election today in Wisconsin is not so much about Governor Scott Walker, it is about the embarrassing revelation that liberal progressives and their union comrades are fiscally inept and be holding to incompetent policy failures.....and they do not like that fact being revealed," read the post.

Such rhetoric is typical for the congressman. However, the contention that the recall is "not so much" about Gov. Walker goes against conventional conservative thinking that the GOP should rally around Walker, who enacted divisive collective bargaining legislation last year.

The direct link to the original post on Facebook reads "The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page."

A tweet linking to the post was deleted after about 36 minutes on the web, according to the Sunlight Foundation's Politwoops tool.

A West spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the post.
