'Hell's Kitchen' Premiere: Royce Has Confidence, And Refers To Himself In The Third Person (VIDEO)

'Hell's Kitchen' Premiere: The Cockiest Chef Ever

It's summer time, which means it's time for Gordon Ramsay to take over the Fox network again. His annual domination began with the premieres of two of his shows, "MasterChef" and "Hell's Kitchen" (Mon., 8 p.m. ET on Fox). The night kicked off with Ramsay in his element, yelling at the fresh batch of contestants on "Hell's Kitchen" as they failed to impress him.

One contestant, though, certainly had the confidence to take him all the way, and it's only the first day. Royce was so full of himself, he referred to himself throughout the episode in the third person.

"Royce can make spaghetti," he declared. "Royce can make squab. Royce can make anything. I got this!" Only he didn't. And he couldn't.

After Ramsay sampled Royce's spaghetti, he called it "crunchy" and threw Royce out of the kitchen. But it wasn't enough to get Royce thrown from the show -- yet. But that's because it was a disastrous dinner service for everyone.

Both the men's team and the women's team failed to send out a single entree, while the men really didn't manage to get anything right, so they had to nominate their weakest links. But they didn't even get that right.

They guys sent out Tayvon and Don, but Ramsay corrected them. Tayvon and Royce were their weakest links, but in the end, he kept Royce alive for another week. Will the experience humble him? Will he stick to first person from here on out?

Find out as "Hell's Kitchen" continues Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
