Warren Buffett Lunch Date To Be Sold To The Highest Bidder

Warren Buffett: Join Me For A Steak

Want to score a lunch date with Warren Buffett?

If you have millions of dollars to spare, you might be able to buy yourself one.

Bidding is currently underway on eBay for the chance to share lunch with the Berkshire Hathaway CEO at New York's Smith & Wollensky steakhouse.

For the 13th consecutive year, Buffett has participated in the lunch auction, which benefits the Glide Foundation, a San Francisco-based charity organization aimed at putting an end to poverty.

The contest, which will end this Friday at 7:30 p.m. PDT, began on Sunday with bidding starting at $25,000 and is off to a slow start. The highest bids are expected to come in at the very last minute, the Associated Press reported.

According to CNN Money, last year's lunch went for more than $2.6 million.

The eye-popping price tag could buy you more than just a steak lunch. Ted Weschler, a hedge fund manager, was offered a job at Berkshire Hathaway after paying over $5.3 million to buy the last two lunch date auctions with Buffett, according to the AP.

At press time, one bidder had made two bids for the minimum $25,000.
