HGTV 'Design Star' Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: The White Room Challenge (VIDEO)

'I Wish I Stripped And Covered Myself In Paint'

Well, season 7 of HGTV's "Design Star" is certainly off to an entertaining start. If you didn't catch the second episode of the season Tuesday night, let us catch you up.

The designers competed in the White Room Challenge, in which they were asked to transform entirely stark white rooms into something spectacular. While some rose to the occasion, others fell short.

Designer Jordan Cappella was sent home this week after presenting the least popular design. David Bromstad, former "Design Star" winner and the show's host, said he knew Cappella was in trouble when he did his walk-through, because there was nothing exciting about his space and it was something he'd seen a million times before (and not in a good way).

Cappella's amazing reaction to his elimination? Well, he said he wish he'd stripped his clothes off, covered himself in paint and rolled around on a canvas because…that's what he really wanted to do. We're not exactly sure what to think of this preposterous suggestion! He did graciously go on to say that while he thought other designers' rooms were worse than his, he enjoyed living and working with them all and will continue his aspirations for having his own TV show. To hear Cappella's full reaction to being eliminated in this week's episode, just watch the video above.
