Julia Louis-Drefyus Tells 'The Tonight Show' She'd Play Elaine Forever For $100 Million (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is cracking viewers up every Sunday on HBO's hilarious political satire "Veep." But on "The Tonight Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC) Jay Leno got her talking about that other little show she was famous for. Specifically, he brought up that reported offer NBC made Jerry Seinfeld to give them one more year of "Seinfeld."

The rumor is that the network offered Seinfield $100 million to come back and do one more year, but he turned it down. He'd already made more than enough money, and would rake in millions more through syndication. And more importantly, he was ready to step back and start a family.

But for that kind of money, Louis-Dreyfus would have been on board. She joked that she'd have done it for half that money, or a quarter of it even. "I’ll do Elaine for the rest of my life for that kind of money," she joked.

The season finale of "Veep" airs Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
