Ray Bradbury may be dead, but the twitterverse is alive with fond remembrances of the celebrated author, whose books include "Dandelion Wine" and science fiction classics like "Fahrenheit 451."

Bradbury died Tuesday in Los Angeles at the age of 91, The Huffington Post reported. In a career that spanned more than 70 years, he wrote more than 50 books--including some that inspired an interest in science in generations of scientists and artists.

"He was my muse for the better part of my sci-fi career," director Steven Spielberg said in a statement, the Associated Press reported. "He lives on through his legion of fans. In the world of science fiction and fantasy and imagination, he is immortal."

Judging from the flurry of commemorative tweets about Bradbury, that may well prove true.
