A co-production beween Capital Pride and Brightest Young Things, this party will be everything you expect from BYT -- giant blown-up characters, giant characters on blow (maybe), good music, neon, etc. -- in a new forum. It's the first LGBT event at the Howard so it's unlikely that subtlety will reign supreme.

The flagship event for the two-week celebration, it's almost mandatory to attend.

Capital Pride Street Festival
A giant street festival on Pennsylvania Avenue NW downtown that happens to be gay friendly. Family but not pet friendly, this event is estimated to be attended by 200,000.

Against Me! at Fillmore Silver Spring
While Against Me! is just the opening act for The Cult, they're the reason this show should be considered. The recent announcement of Tom Gabel becoming Laura Gabel will change the shape of punk to come for the indefinite future. This is a good thing.
