Colbert Blasts 'The New York Times' Romney Hit Job, Laments Mini Pig's Partisan Politics (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Takes On 'The New York Times' & That Tiny Pig You Love

On Thursday's show, Stephen Colbert took on two titans of partisan politics: The New York Times and Hamlet the mini pig.

He began the two-part segment by taking issue with the Home section of The Times, which recently ran a story Colbert described as a "hit job" on Mitt Romney and his $12 million vacation home in California. After picking apart the various quotes from neighbors in the article, he went on to point out that every section of The New York Times is out to get Romney, including Style and Dining In.

Colbert admitted that he shouldn't be surprised since recent polls have shown the country is more polarized now than at any other time in the last 25 years, but there might be a solution. If all Americans can get behind Hamlet the mini pig and his triumphant effort to climb down the stairs to get to his oatmeal, maybe we can begin to come together. However, as he soon learned, nothing is ever that simple or unfettered by liberal bias.

Check out part one on The New York Times above, and part two on Hamlet the mini pig below.
