Trainer Doug O'Neill caused a stir on Friday morning when he revealed that I'll Have Another will not race in the Belmont Stakes, during an appearance on the "Dan Patrick Show."

O'Neill told Patrick that the scratch was due to injury and that the three-year-old will likely never race again.

The New York Racing Association quickly announced a press conference for 1 p.m. for race officials to address the scratch of the early favorite.

O'Neill told Patrick during the radio show that I'll Have Another would walk in front of the media during the conference.
