Chelsea Johnson Murder: George Donald Davis Named 'Person Of Interest' In Ohio Teen's Death

Man Charged With Giving Heroin To 15 Year Old A 'Person Of Interest' In Her Murder

A Cincinnati man charged with giving drugs to a 15 year old in exchange for sex is now a person of interest in the investigation of her murder.

Authorities are investigating George Donald Davis, 24, in connection to the April disappearance of Chelsea Johnson, 15, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

According to WHIOTV:

Davis first contacted Johnson asking if she wanted muscle relaxers or Valium. The text exchange then turned to an offer of heroin and a payment of sex, according to the detective’s testimony.

“In exchange for drugs, he was requesting she have sex with him,” [Fairfield Detective Michael Woodall] said. The text messages were initiated by Davis, he said.

Davis is not yet considered a suspect in the ongoing murder investigation, although he is being held on drug charges at the Butler County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

The girl's body was found on April 16 in a wooded area near a creek by her mother's boyfriend and a family friend.

"Davis is an acquaintance of the family. He used to live in Fairfield. How they became acquainted is still part of the investigation," said Fairfield Police Chief Mike Dickey, according to ONNtv.

No one has been charged for the alleged homicide.
