Red Hot Chili Peppers Drummer Chad Smith Sings Michigan Fight Song During Ohio Concert (VIDEO)

You've probably never seen a crowd of people go from cheering to jeering this quickly.

At the end of a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend, RHCP drummer Chad Smith decided to hand out some drumsticks to the crowd. Nice enough gesture, right? But then, right before walking off the stage, the Michigan native grabbed the microphone and started singing the University of Michigan's fight song -- a BIG no-no in the state of Ohio. And it went about as well as you'd expect it to.

Good to see that the Michigan/Ohio State rivalry isn't gonna die off anytime soon.
