Robin Roberts MDS: Ann Curry, Gayle King Called 'Good Morning America' Host After Announcement (VIDEO)

WATCH: Rivals Reach Out To Robin Roberts

Robin Robert's rivals at "Today" and "CBS This Morning" sent their love to the co-host on Tuesday morning, after she revealed that she is battling a rare blood and bone marrow disease.

Roberts disclosed Monday that she is suffering from MDS, and will be receiving a bone marrow transplant this summer. She thanked supporters for the outpouring of "comfort and support" she has received since delivering the news.

Those supporters included Ann Curry and Gayle King, who both called Roberts after her announcement. Curry said that she spoke with Roberts, who was undergoing chemotherapy at the time, on Monday. "She is one of the most gracious, strong and really wonderful women," she said of Roberts on Tuesday's "Today."

"We are sending our very best wishes to Robin Roberts," Matt Lauer also remarked.

King recounted her conversation with Roberts as well. The "CBS This Morning" co-host said, “I called her last night and I said, ‘You know, when you’re faced with a hurdle, you become a hurdler.' And Robin said she’s going to beat it and I believe her.”
