Princess Mette-Marit Auctions Clothes Online... Just Like Kim Kardashian (PHOTOS)

There's some royal spring cleaning going on in Norway's palaces: Princess Mette-Marit of Norway is clearing out her closet and putting her clothes up for sale.

The stylish 38-year-old princess took to Bloppis, a Swedish fashion website that we had heretofore never heard of, to sell some of her shoes and apparel. All proceeds will benefit Miljoagentene, a Norwegian charity that promotes youth education on environmental issues.

Plus, recycling clothes is inherently green. "Many of our clothes can be reused instead of being discarded. Protect the environment in a simple and fun way," the princess says on Miljoagentene's website (according to Google Translate, because we're not too up on our Norwegian).

Most of the pieces have already been snapped up, including Prada pumps, a Miu Miu handbag and an Isabel Marant dress. But if you're jonesing for Gucci floral peep-toe heels or a gray Marni blazer, both are still available on Bloppis' website.

The sale is similar to Kim Kardashian's eBay auction, which saw the star clean out her wardrobe for charity (albeit her family church rather than an environmental cause). But Princess Mette-Marit does Kim not one but two better: she promises to keep replenishing the online auction as items sell out and she's donating all the proceeds (not a mere 10 percent) to charity.
