Apple Collection, Gauche 1980s Clothing Line, Is The Ultimate Brand Fail (PHOTOS)

Totally '80s Apple Gear

Like that awful perm that you got for your class photo in 1986, nothing on the Internet is truly dead.

But that didn't stop them from trying, and failing miserably. The so-called Apple Collection, a grab bag of atrocious clothing and useless knickknacks -- an Apple-branded windboard? -- has re-surfaced after more than 25 years of merciful dormancy.

"After a rough day windsurfing, the Apple sweatshirt is just the thing," the catalog text reads. Just what you need -- something that says, "Hold on, let me slip into something more comfortable before I watch 'The Wrath Of Khan' on my BetaMax."

Granted, now that the word is out, every hipster from Minnesota to Brooklyn is going to be scouring eBay for this junk. The trucker hats are perhaps too easy, but look out for those belts and windbreakers this summer.

Personally, we have our sites set on this vintage velour Apple-branded track jacket (only $700!), which does not appear to be part of the official collection, but is still going to look totally rad with our cutoff jean shorts, new MacBook and $500 Ray-Bans.
