'Call Me KD': Thunder Fans Parody Carly Rae Jepson's 'Call Me Maybe' For Kevin Durant (VIDEO)

WATCH: Thunder Fans Sing 'Call Me KD' Parody

There have been tense series, thrilling individual performances, ridiculous postgame attire and even an august coaching veteran calling for "some nasty," but the 2012 NBA Playoffs were missing one thing up until very recently.

There was a shocking paucity of "Call Me Maybe" parodies.

Fear not, the catchy, pop of Carly Rae Jepson's "Call Me Maybe" has now been made ready for NBA fans. Four Thunder fans created their own parody of "Call Me Maybe" that pairs some clever lyrics with the melody of the original track. Dubbing "Call me KD," this iteration of ceaselessly emulated tune is heavy on references to Kevin Durant and the reigning scoring champion's offensive touch, but not without plenty of mentions for the entire squad throughout.

You know big Perk is D'ing' /
Westbrook crazy speed and /
Collison you know we need him /
Who's the man who's leading, baby?

Even Durant's mother, a regular presence at Thunder games, gets a prominent shout-out during the chorus.

According the the YouTube description, the band has recorded three Thunder-inspired parodies this season. The other, "Beard Like Harden", was a tribute to the facial foliage that James Harden has sported throughout their postseason run.

What's next? Will Lil Wayne be the next to record an NBA anthem? The rap superstar has attended a handful of playoff games this year, but judging by his feelings toward the Thunder, one would assume his would celebrate the Heat.
