'Points In Space': Benjamin Ducroz's Enthralling Short Film Traces Melbourne's Flow Of Traffic (VIDEO)

Mesmerizing Visualization Of The Flow Of Traffic

Using a medley of different mediums -- paper, timelapse, stop motion -- director Benjamin Ducroz has created a hypnotizing piece of art. In his short film "Points In Space," one of Vimeo's staff picks this week, Ducroz visually depicts Melbourne's central business district's cycles of repetition using the flow of traffic patterns. In more technical terms, Ducroz uses 1050 individual a0 sized frames with long exposure photography, resulting in a mesmerizing illustration of the ebbs and flows of city life.

The film brings out the order in disorder, calm in chaos and form in what appears formless in cities all over the world. More details about the making of "Points In Space" can be found here.
