The tea baggers have completely ruined the republican party and the party is going to be paying for it for years to come. They have purged their party of every reasonable person they had. I saw this in 2010 even though it appeared to be a good year for them. Now John Boehner can't get a majority vote on anything and Mitch McConnell is a nasty tea bagger himself. The bitterness and vitriol they spew is turning independents away in droves and even the republican's that I know who have voted all of their whole lives for R's are staying home this year at least and a few are voting Democrat. All the way down the line.

What else would you expect from someone who adores Jan "The Wagger" Brewer? They make quite a pair and absolutely personify the total disrespect and dishonorable behavior of the current crop of 'leading' Republican elected officials. Brewer and Wikfors are a disgrace and a shameful example of everything disagreeable in today's partisan politics. As an Arizonan since 1976 I have never seen a more disgraceful group of public elected officials than what we have in Jan Brewer, Joe Arpaio, Jon Kyle, John McCain and Ben Quayle. It's time for Arizona Seniors, Minorities and Women to collectively remove these Creatures and get back to a more responsible and decent form of governance.

The proper response would be:

"Yes, that was an insensitive term. I meant merely to express my frustration with the tone of the article that the writer took. I felt, and still feel, that it was unfair.

"HOWEVER, I recognize that it cannot excuse my usage of a crude colloquialism in order to express my frustrations, whatever they might be. Looking back on it, I was wrong to do so. I regret having said it. I apologize to the writer, and to all the women of Arizona."

You would THINK that the SPOKESMAN of the AZ GOP might take that approach. Sadly, it seems to be beyond Mr. Wikfors.

There is a rough hierarchy of possible response:

(A) Apology -- sincere;
(B) Apology -- not really sincere, but demonstrating that I know I was wrong for doing it;
(C) Non-apology Apology -- the classic of choice, most of the time; and,
(D) Defending the Indefensible -- Quickly becoming the Political Charlatan's Favorite

Mr. Wikfors went for (D).

How, er, predictable.

Go to any boardroom and you'll hear the same language? This guy really should stop watching Mad Men. There are many women in the boardrooms of companies in the 21st century now and so, no, it's not a common phrase bandied about in such places. What makes these guys think it's okay to use that term in reference to women and then try to justify it? Put him in the corner for a major time out.

"It's a colloquialism," Wikfors said during a telephone interview. "It's universally used. Go to any corporate boardroom and you'll hear that reference." I am sure that many more " colloquialisms" have beenn used behind corporate boardrom doors, that doesn't mean that it is right to use them and most who do use colloquialisms such as this one are smart enought to let it become public.. I wonder how Shane would like someone to describe his wife and mother having a discussion as being a " Bitch Sesson". Can you just imagine the fury that would be out there if a Democrat had said the same thing. Once here in the US , when people did not share the same idea that someone else had they at least gave each otherr respect. There is no respect comming out grom the GOP/TP/Conservatives you are with them or they are against you, there is no middle ground no compromise, which is bad for this country
