WATCH: Catherine Zeta-Jones Opens Up About Her Bipolar Disorder

Catherine Zeta-Jones stopped by "The View" on Friday, promoting her new movie "Rock of Ages," and opened up to the show's hosts about her bipolar disorder and her husband Michael Douglas' health issues.

The 42-year-old actress said that after coping with the imprisonment of her stepson, Cameron Douglas, for selling methamphetamine, and her husband's battle with cancer, her bipolar disorder "just came straight out," and she admitted the past two years have been really rough on her.

In April 2011, the actress underwent inpatient treatment for bipolar II disorder at a Connecticut mental health facility, which was brought on by extreme stress in her life.

Zeta-Jones also mentioned that she is still embarrassed by her strange acceptance speech at the 2010 Tony Awards. When she won the Best Actress award for "A Little Night Music," she thanked Douglas by pointing at him and shouting, "See that man over there? He's a movie star and I get to sleep with him every night."

It might have been a rough couple of years, but the actress says things have taken a better turn, and confirmed that her husband is now 100 percent healthy.
