David Arquette, Courteney Cox Still Friends: Exes Who Remain Amicable After Divorce

Celeb Exes Who Stay Friends After Divorce

Sure, when celebrity couples split they release statements saying they still "love and have the utmost respect for each other," but how many of them are actually amicable? As far as we can tell, there are a few lucky ones who've managed to stay friendly -- even if sometimes it's just for the sake of the kids.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette finally made their separation official when Arquette filed divorce papers on Wednedsay and Cox moved to remove "Arquette" from her last name. But the pair maintain that they're still a big -- and positive -- part of each other's lives. After all, they'll be co-parenting their 8-year-old daughter, Coco.

The couple first spoke about their trial separation in October 2010, saying, "The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

But more than a year later, the former couple couldn't find those "qualities" in each other and opted to officially end their marriage. On the road to divorce, Cox still sat in the audience to cheer on her former partner as he took to the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom floor in 2011.

"He's my favorite person in the world," Cox told People in January. "He's my best friend. No matter what happens in our future, he's my very best friend."
