Sarah Jessica Parker's 9-Year-Old Son Is Obama's Biggest Fan

Much ado was made about Sarah Jessica Parker's swanky $40,000-a-plate fundraiser for President Obama Thursday night, but looks like the most avid supporter at the party (which included co-host Anna Wintour, Meryl Streep and Mariah Carey) was the actress' nine-year-old son, James Wilkie Broderick. That's right: According to ABC News, the pint-sized fan spontaneously burst into applause during the President's speech about General Motors ("back on top"), prompting Obama to smile in response. "That's worth applauding … Right on cue."

This isn't the first time SJP and Matthew Broderick's son has made it clear which side of the ballot he'd be voting for (if he were nine years older, that is). In 2008, SJP told People that James was "very into Barack Obama," albeit for reasons as uncomplex as you'd imagine them to be for a mere child (supporting, by default, all male Democrats). "He's really truly, truly into this election… He's come to this conclusion on his own based specifically on Barack's gender. It's that deep. He's a fan and a true supporter of Barack Obama."
