The American Black Film Festival starts this week with screenings at the Colony Theater and Miami Beach Cinematheque. Check out both full-feature movies and shorts from June 20 to 23.

Catch "LUV," produced and starred in by rapper Common, about a young boy's vision of his uncle, recently released from prison. Also notable is "The Last Fall," which follows the journey of a former NFL player through his new life without football.

At the Tower Theater, watch "Bel Ami" starring Robert Pattinson and set in 1800s Paris.

Meanwhile, Emily Blent stars in "Your Sister's Sister" at the Coral Gables Art Cinema.
